The week ahead in business and finance

Macroeconomic data this week will focus on Consumer prices for January (Tuesday,  February 28), Employed and unemployed for January 2017 (Thursday, March 02) and GDP and General Government deficit for Year 2016 (Wednesday, March 01). Italy will also test the euro area government bond primary market today with a medium-to-long term auction (Monday,  February 27) .

Monday, February 27 - Foreign trade with non-Eu countries for January 2017.

Monday, February 27 - Bank of Italy releases its data on Italian contribution to euro-area monetary aggregates and Summary data on Monetary Financial Institutions resident in Italy.

Tuesday, February 28 - Consumer prices (provisional data) for January 2017.

Wednesday, March 01- GDP and General Government deficit for Year 2016.

Thursday, March 02 - Employed and unemployed (provisional data) for January 2017.

Friday, March 03 - Quarterly national accounts for IV Quarter 2016.
