Italy’s week ahead in business and economy

This week gets off to a slow start because the Italian Stock Exchange is shut for the Easter holiday on Monday. Earnings season gets going in earnest with a clutch of company results. In focus will be UniCredit’s annual meeting which will provide a glimpse of the bank’s new shareholder base after its €13 billion capital increase.

Wednesday, April 19 - Istat releases February foreign trade.

Friday, April 21 - Ratings agency Fitch revises Italy’s sovereign debt rating.

Friday, April 21 - Istat releases February industry sales and orders

Wednesday, April 19 - Treasury announces amounts of CTZ and BTPei bonds for auction on  April 24

Thursday, April 20 - Treasury announces sale of 6-month BOT, to go on auction April 26.

Friday, April 21 - Treasury announces sale of BTP and CCTeu bonds, to go on auction April 27.
