Abruzzo

Abruzzo is one of the greenest regions of Italy with around 30% of its territory made up of National parks (3) and nature reserves (more than 30). It's the wealthiest southern region of the country and its economy is mostly based on industry, services and tourism. The town of L'Aquila was devastated by an earthquake in 2009.
