Sicily

The largest island in the Mediterranean, Regione Siciliana is one of Italy's semi-autonomous regions and known as the island with thousand faces. Controlled by nearly every invading force over the centuries, it was one of the Two Sicilies during the reign of the royal Bourbon family.
