Pirelli to file for IPO by early August, CEO Tronchetti Provera says

Italian tyremaker Pirelli plans to file for an initial public offering (IPO) between the end of July and early August, Chief Executive Officer Marco Tronchetti Provera said.

Asked about when the company would return to trade on the stock market, Tronchetti Provera said the listing will take place in the final quarter of the year.

He did not confirm speculation about the trading debut taking place in October. “This is mere speculation, we have not provided any deadline. We have said in the final quarter and it will be in the final quarter,” the CEO said on the sidelines of the Deloitte Innovation Summit 2017 in Milan.
